And CSX is proud to announce that we’re delivering a special reason to celebrate this year. Just days ago, the CSX Engineering team completed the first phase of the new Virginia Avenue Tunnel, right on schedule!
Here's a video of the very first train – a double-stack intermodal train – traveling through the 4,100-foot marvel in downtown Washington, D.C.
It won't be long before double-stack CSX trains are dashing across our entire network, delivering good cheer to boys and girls all over the eastern U.S. Congratulations to everyone who helped make this magical moment a reality.
