CSX LEADERS RECOGNIZED BY DiversityMBA MAGAZINE

Congratulations to Maryclare Kenney and Shantel Davis! These two rising leaders at CSX were recently named to DiversityMBA magazine’s highly selective list of Top 100 Under 50 Diverse Executive & Emerging Leaders for 2013. Along with a spotlight in the summer 2013 issue of the magazine, they were honored at the publication’s awards gala and leadership conference in September. CSX’s Diana Sorfleet, vice president and chief Human Resources and Diversity officer, was a keynote speaker for the event.

Maryclare and Shantel were selected for the leadership recognition based on their scope of responsibility with CSX, community service work and education accomplishments. We are proud of their acknowledgement as both individuals have made a positive impact on our company.

Maryclare is currently the AVP-Intermodal Sales for CSX. She holds an undergraduate degree from Notre Dame and an MBA from Harvard Business School. After years in sales and strategy leadership positions at PepsiCo, she joined CSX in 2011 as director-domestic sales. She is also a former Army aviator, having served in leadership roles with the 3rd Infantry and 101st Airborne Division.

Shantel’s contributions to CSX earned her a recent promotion. Formerly  director of West Coast sales and later phosphates and fertilizers sales in Florida, she was named this summer as AVP and general manager for CSX’s newly expanded Rockport Terminals in Tampa where she now leads both the customer relationships and terminal operations efforts. Shantel joined CSX in 1999 and holds an undergraduate degree from the University of North Florida and an MBA from Jacksonville University.

Diana explains, “CSX takes pride in our commitment to diversity and inclusion. Honoring the great work our employees are doing is another step forward for the company in recognition of our diverse workforce and workplace.”

DiversityMBA magazine named CSX to the #12 spot on its 2011 top 50 companies. By 2013, our company had moved to the #2 spot. The publication reports, “As a great example of how and why diversity pays off, we chose CSX as the second best company for women to work and for diversity managers."
